The General Overseer of Deeper Life Bible Church, Pastor (Dr) William Kumuyi, has called on  Nigerians irrespective of their religious believes or inclinations  to stop the act of condemning those in the position of authority as  it is  a great sin before God,

Kumuyi, made this  called   at the Deeper Life church  Monday Bible Study  held on Monday, Aug 28, 2017.  While speaking on a topic he titled: The shining Light of the Savior’s Great Wisdom.  He stressed that people who condemn or criticize their leaders are not usually better adding that if such people are investigated at their respective offices and endeavors, they may be looting their companies resources more than the leaders they are criticizing making  them not better than  the people in the position of authority that they criticize.

The ever dynamic Pastor Kumuyi,  who shepherds  the largest single Congregation church in Africa, with over 120,000-members in Nigeria  while reading  from the book of John 8vs 6 to 12  admonished the congregation to always borrow a leave from that portion of the Bible. In his words, when the Pharisees and Scribes   brought before Jesus a woman caught in the act of  committing adultery and Jesus instructed that he that is without sin should be the first to cast the stone, they all became convicted  in  their  conscience. And just immediately but slowly  they  went away one  after the other beginning with  the eldest  living just Jesus with  the Woman standing . This according to pastor Kumuyi, occurred because of they, the  Scribe and Pharisees were also guilty of one sin or the other making them no different from the woman.

Kumuyi, who is  reputed as one of the greatest Christian leaders in Africa  as a result of his sterling leadership acumen, noted  that some people are fond of using whatever they read on the Newspaper, be it  Online or printed  news  as tools to condemn the Politician or the  President. A case in mind is reading  that someone looted the government treasury or diverted money earmarked for a project. This according to the pastor, the critics will hold on to forgetting that they are not better than the person they are condemning as a peep into their activates in their various offices may reveal something worse.

However, the  man of God,  also condemned in strong terms  the act of stealing no matter how small it maybe and in whichever forms. The General   Overseer roundly condemned sin in whichever nature or guise. In the same token, Kumuyi advised  Nigerians that instend of condemning sinners, we should develop the attitude of praying for them

To this end ,the former University Don, urged Nigerians to crawl out of their shell and emulate  the footstep of Jesus Christ who  died  for us  to  be saved   from  our sins. He finally prayed asking  God to give us the wisdom to emulate Jesus Christ our savior rather than condemning our neighbors
